Jocelyn Pickett has lived and breathed theatre her entire life. At the age of 5, she got her footing at Northwest Children’s Theatre (NWCT) in Portland, OR, training in dance, acting, music, movement, and improvisation. At NWCT she completed an intensive internship while also performing in many high school musicals and plays.
She received her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Arizona. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting in film. While there, she received education through the comedy troupe Groundlings and had many different opportunities and experiences along the way.
Wanting to further her theatre acting and education, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. While performing all over the Bay, she has had the incredible experience of winning a TBA award for Best Actor while also being nominated for several productions.
Educationally, she helped build programs at Peninsula Youth Theatre in Mountain View and Broadway by the Bay in Redwood City. She has spent the last 6 years at Bullis Charter School in Los Altos as a Drama Specialist developing their drama program.
Albeit in these crazy circumstances, she could not be more excited to enrich the love of theatre in so many passionate lives. Although the physical collaboration of theatre may be halted during this time…(for now…), we can always find an alternative.
Whether you love dance, improv, movement, acting, voice lessons - you name it, Jocelyn Pickett’s got it!
